Training & WorkshopsWe have scheduled a variety of training programs designed to help our staff accomplish University and Division goals, to develop professionally, and to provide specific tools to accomplish their tasking more effectively! In order to best tailor the training to its intended audience we have divided the training between Administrative/Professional staff, Clerical/Service staff, for all-staff. May Training OpportunitiesAdministrative/Professional TrainingFMLA Workshop For Supervisors Learn the basics of FMLA and what the law requires of you as a supervisor. This hands-on training will walk you through the forms and basic information that all supervisors need to know.
Clerical/Service TrainingDealing with Difficult People This interactive workshop will explore tips and ideas on how to deal with those people that are difficult to play, work and deal with in general.
All Staff TrainingSummer Life Challenge Opening Sessions It’s back for another summer and it is better than ever. Join us for one of the following opening sessions to learn how to earn wonderful prizes, earn a purple apple for Healthy Purdue and have a lot of fun getting healthy. You only need to attend one of the following four sessions.

June Training OpportunitiesAdministrative/Professional TrainingStrategic Language For Leaders This session is part of our leadership series that will be offered at breakfast and at lunch. Join us for a great discussion on how to ensure you are talking the “strategic language” that is necessary these days for leaders of the present and future.
Curse of the Vanishing Employee This workshop demonstrates three of the most important tactics a manager can use to retain workers. Participants will learn how to inspire a climate of loyalty, keep individuals challenged, motivate and reward, discipline without demoralizing and be flexible without compromising productivity.

Statistics show that laughing is good for your heart. Come to this fun, humor filled session that will get you laughing and give you tips and suggestions on how to add more laughter to your life.
