Located in Stewart Center, Fowler Hall hosts lectures, conference programs, dance recitals and more. While classes are in session, the Purdue Student Union Board presents current-title theater films on Friday and Saturday nights at a low cost to students.

History
In 1901, Eliza Fowler, widow of Moses Fowler, one-time business partner and life-long friend of John Purdue, made a gift of $70,000 to Purdue University to be used to build the first assembly hall on campus.
Eliza Fowler Hall provided the first indoor home for university commencement exercises which were previously held outside on the Oval, known today as Memorial Mall.
Until its demolition in 1954, old Eliza Fowler Hall, was used for orientations, convocations and lectures. In 1958, the new Eliza Fowler Hall was dedicated. Its location in Stewart Center is essentially on the same ground as the original structure.
