How do I checkout a Laptop or Projector?
There are six laptops and one projector available for check out to HFS staff. We have created six resources in Outlook called HFS Laptop #1 through #6. Laptops 1 through 6 are Dells equipped with internal wireless. They have DVD/CDRW drives (swappable floppy drives are available). You may reserve a laptop as follows: Open the calendar for that laptop and enter your reservation directly on the calendar. You do that from your Calendar page in Outlook by clicking File, Open, Open other users folder, then entering the name of the laptop that you want, and making sure that folder line is set to Calendar. Then make an appointment entering the checkout date and time and the return date and time. HFS Computing also has one projector that connects to the laptops. It may be reserved the same way using the calendar name HFS Projector #1. Pick up your reserved laptop or projector from the HFS Computing Department located in the lower office suites in Hillenbrand Hall. Check-outs may occur during normal Business Hours, Monday - Friday. An HFS Computing staff member will assist you in the check out. You may want to call ahead to the department to ensure that someone is available when you arrive. You will be required to sign for the laptop and its accessories. Please make sure to check in your laptop with an HFS Computing Staff member at the appropriate time. The staff member will check to make sure the laptop and all its accessories have been returned. |
