Contract Renewal Process for Family & Graduate Student Residents

Displaced Residents

Purdue Village Buildings 201-216
Options:
  • Choose to move to off-campus housing for the entire 2020-21 academic year.
    • You do not need to do anything during the contract renewal period if you choose this option. The contract end date for this year is May 11, 2020, and you must move out by this date.
  • Add your name to a waitlist to sign a contract to live in a different Purdue Village family or single graduate student apartment for 2020-21 (you will be given a higher priority to sign a contract over a new applicant, based on availability).
    • To do this, you will need to send an email to pvapp@purdue.edu between September 25, 2019 and January 2, 2020 informing us that you are a displaced resident who would like to be placed on a waitlist to sign a contract for UR student housing for the 2020-21 academic year. Higher priority will be given to those that are added to the waitlist from 9/25 – 9/27. Please include the following in your email request:
      • your name
      • your current address
      • type of housing you are currently living in and want to re-contract for (family - 2 Bedroom only - or single graduate)
      • your university status effective Fall 2020 (undergraduate or graduate student)
      • your Purdue email address
      • your Purdue ID number
Process for signing UR contract for 2020-21:
  • Student sends an email to pvapp@purdue.edu between November 1, 2019 and January 2, 2020 stating that they are a displaced resident who would like to be placed on a waitlist to sign a contract for UR student housing for the 2020-21 academic year.
    • Current contract holders whose email is received between September 25, 2019 at 8:00 a.m. and September 27, 2019 at 5:00 p.m. will be put into a lottery, which will equitably determine the order in which we will offer the opportunity to sign a contract for 2020-21.
    • Email requests received after 5:00 p.m. on September 27, 2019 will be placed on the waitlist in the order the request was received, behind all lottery entries.
    • Requests to be placed on the waitlist will only be accepted via email and only through the end of Contract Renewal on January 2, 2020 at 11:59 p.m.
  • Once availability is determined after the end of Contract Renewal, Purdue Village Staff will begin contacting residents about their eligibility to sign a contract.
