University Residences is using a new contract renewal process this year. Now is the time to be thinking about your housing for next year. Beginning October 12, you can share your interest in returning to University Residences by logging into the housing portal during what we are calling the Interest Phase. Once in the portal, click Contract Renewal (Renew My Housing) in the top navigation bar, then choose "Yes" or "Maybe" to continue to the term selector and housing application. If you are interested in living in University Residences, all applications must be signed by December 20, 2022. With a signed application by December 20, you may continue to make changes to your selections and/or cancel your application through February 28, 2023.
Please read carefully through the following sections to ensure you are prepared to reserve the space you would like for the 2023-24 academic year.
Contract renewal is a phased process based on where you currently live and your university classification. Apart from the Interest Phase from October 12 – October 23, each phase becomes active at 8:30 a.m. and remains active until December 20, 2022 at 11:59 p.m. Depending on your current housing assignment, you may have the opportunity to renew your contract in your current room. Please see our updates and changes section to learn more about these locations.
Check your Purdue email. Log in to the housing portal and let us know if you’re planning to live with us next year. Your response is required if you would like to select a room and a roommate for next year.
Log in to the housing portal to begin your roommate selections. All roommates must have responded YES that they plan to live in University Residences next year.
Beginning October 26, you will be emailed an assigned time slot for when you will be eligible to select a room for your 2023-24 contract.
Senior and junior students who signed an application and need to select a room may begin doing so.
Freshmen and sophomore students who signed an application and need to select a room may begin doing so.
There will be several changes in University Residences effective for the 2023-24 academic year.
If your space is available for the upcoming academic year, you will see it as an option during the Interest Phase. Otherwise, you will be unable to select your same room for the 2023-24 academic year. We advise you to respond "Yes" or "Maybe" to indicate your interest in the housing portal between October 12-23 and select an available space during your assigned time.
Important Note: If you want to participate during a particular phase, you should renew your application as soon as you are eligible or the space may not be available once the next phase begins. For example, if you do not select your same room, choose your meal plan and sign a housing application during the “same room intention” phase, your room may be reserved by another student during the subsequent phases or may be closed for other space management needs.
