University Residences and Purdue Dining & Culinary recently celebrated the graduation of four staff members who completed programs through Purdue University Global.

The following staff members walked across the stage at Elliott Hall of Music Saturday, May 6 to celebrate their accomplishment. They are among 53 system-wide Purdue University employees to earn a Purdue Global degree or certificate via the Purdue Global education benefit.

  • Autumn Cummings, assistant director of training and advocacy for University Residences, Master of Business Administration with a concentration in human resources.
  • Lee Morrison, director of campus living and compliance for University Residences – Juris Doctor, Concord Law School at Purdue Global.
  • Joe Currens, housing business process analyst for University Residences – master’s degree in instructional design and technology, Purdue Global.
  • Jordan Richards, housing and Residential Life clerk – Bachelor of Science in Industrial Organizational Psychology.

Each of these staff members demonstrates the commitment to continuous learning shown every day by staff in University Residences and Dining & Culinary. These exceptional staff have more than 25 years of combined experience in University Residences and Dining & Culinary, and have impacted areas of operation including retail dining, student advocacy, business operations, housing assignments and various areas of Residential Life.

Currens, Cummings and Morrison are all two-time graduates of the University and were recipients of the John C. Smalley Memorial Grant, which provides funds for educational opportunities for staff, recognizes staff for excellent service and encourages the pursuit of advancement within the University. The grant covers tuition and fees for up to two courses and is awarded twice per year.

Purdue Global is Purdue’s online university for working adults and is an expansion of Purdue’s 21st-century land-grant mission to provide educational access to all people. Purdue Global helps prepare students for what’s next in their lives and careers by offering programs that lead to a degree backed by Purdue University.
