Finding Your Hall and Check-In

We are excited to welcome you to campus! We have prepared the following resources to help you through the process of accessing campus, navigating to your check-in location and where to park once your Boilermaker has unloaded their belongings.

Finding Your Hall and Check In

Please see check-in locations at your halls for Hawkins, Windsor, Third Street Suites, Wiley, Tarkington, Owen, Cary and Hilltop 


PURDUE VILLAGE RESIDENTS
Please check in at the Purdue Village Community Center at 50 Nimitz Drive.  Please see check-in location for Purdue Village
To avoid construction and congestion, PLEASE follow the following travel instructions: 
From the NORTH: 
Enter campus on 231 SOUTH, turn LEFT onto Airport Road, and then turn RIGHT on the second street - Nimitz Drive.
From the SOUTH:
Enter campus on 231 NORTH, turn RIGHT onto Airport Road, and then turn RIGHT on the second street - Nimitz Drive.


Honors College must first report to a check-in location. PLEASE BE SURE TO COME DURING YOUR ASSIGNED MOVE-IN TIME. Should you be planning to arrive on Monday, August 12th, between 7:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. or Tuesday, August 13th, between 7:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m., you MUST plan to arrive first at the North Stadium Lot, located at the corner of Cherry Lane and Steven Beering Drive. Please see the following map for the check-in location for Honors College.


McCutcheon, Harrison and Hillenbrand must first report to a check-in location. PLEASE BE SURE TO COME DURING YOUR ASSIGNED MOVE-IN TIME. Should you be planning to arrive on Monday, August 12th, between 7:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. or Tuesday August 13th,   7:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m., you MUST plan to arrive first at the East Purdue University Airport Lot, located at on the southeast corner of US 231 and Airport Road. Please see the following map for the check-in location for these halls.


Earhart, Shreve, First Street Towers and Meredith must first report to a check-in location.  PLEASE BE SURE TO COME DURING YOUR ASSIGNED MOVE-IN TIME. Should you be planning to arrive on Monday, August 12 th, between 7:00am – 6:00pm or August 13 th, 7:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m., you  MUST plan to arrive first at the Discovery Lot on the southeast corner of Nimitz Drive and Gates Road - check-in will happen at this off-site location during these designated times.  Please see the following map for the check-in location for these halls.


University Residences Boiler Apartment Students:

Aspire

Residents checking in Monday, August 12, 2019 from 7:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. or Tuesday, August 13, 2019 from 7:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. should report to the East Airport Lot

  • All other check-ins for Aspire should report to First Street Towers (1250 First Street) – Main Office

Blackbird Farms

Check-in at Hilltop Apartments (23-5 Hilltop Drive) – Main Office

The Cottages

Check-in at Hilltop Apartments (23-5 Hilltop Drive) – Main Office

333 S. Grant Street

Residents checking in Monday, August 12, 2019 from 7:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. or Tuesday, August 13, 2019 from 7:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. should report to 333 S. Grant Street – Tent in Parking Lot

  • All other check-ins for 333 S. Grant Street apartments should report to Hawkins Hall (430 Wood Street) – Main Office

410 Steely

Residents checking in Monday, August 12, 2019 from 7:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. or Tuesday, August 13, 2019 from 7:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. should report to 410 Steely – Tent in Parking Lot

  • All other check-ins for 410 Steely apartments should report to Hawkins Hall (430 Wood Street) – Main Office

Salisbury

Residents checking in Monday, August 12, 2019 from 7:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. or Tuesday, August 13, 2019 from 7:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. should report to Salisbury Campus Apartments – Tent in Parking Lot

  • All other check-ins for Salisbury apartments should report to Hawkins Hall (430 Wood Street) – Main Office

Residents checking in to 414 N. Russell, 19 Waldron and 125 Waldron should report to the Honors College and Residences (1101 Third Street) – Main Office.

 

Parking

Once you have unloaded your belongings at your designated location you will be directed to available parking locations in the McCutcheon Street Garage or the East Airport Lot.

UR Boiler Apartments URBA – (Aspire, Blackbird Farms, Cottages, Grant, Russell, Salisbury, Steely, Waldron)

After unloading at your respective UR Boiler Apartment, you will be directed to a parking space/location within close proximity to your apartment assignment and outside of the apartment unloading zones.

Parking for any URBA  Residents on campus during BGR

  • Parking in University Parking spaces are relaxed during BGRi and BGR only. 
  • Students should avoid parking in any ABC, unloading or any specially marked spaces.

Moving In - Fall 2019

Boiler Gold Rush Participants

Students registered for Boiler Gold Rush (BGR) may move in on Monday, August 12 or Tuesday, August 13, 2019. (You should receive information along with your BGR registration materials.) The BGR fees include room charges from your scheduled move-in day and your meals beginning with lunch on Monday, August 12, 2019. Information regarding traffic patterns and parking will be included in your room assignment information or you may check back at this page on or around July 15th.


Non-Boiler Gold Rush Participants

Early check-in: All residents have the option to check in early for an additional fee per person per day, beginning at 8:00 a.m. on Monday, August 12 through Thursday, August 15, 2019. Optional meal service will be available in the Purdue Dining & Culinary’s residential dining courts for an additional fee from Monday, August 12 through Thursday, August 15, 2019. Payment to be made at the entrance to the dining court.  Students who use BoilerExpress will receive a discount. Cash and credit card are also accepted.


Regular Check-In

Regular check in begins at 8:00 a.m. on Friday, August 16, 2019, and the first contract meal served will begin with breakfast. This is the first meal served under your housing contract.


Check-In Procedures

BGR participants, please, be sure to arrive at your designated area during your specified move-in time . Staff will be on-site to direct you to your hall. Carts (and many friendly student leaders) will be available to assist you as you move your belongings into your new home. After you unload your belongings, be prepared to move your vehicle(s) to a designated parking area so we can expedite the process for other residents. When you check-in, you will receive your room key and pertinent information.

• Flashlight

Items you may NOT bring with you:

• Candles, incense or anything else you would burn (also see Purdue Fire Department info on residence hall decorations
• Electric bed warmers
• Empty alcohol bottles for decoration
• Fireworks
• Grills
• Halogen lamps
• Hoverboards
• Paintball guns
• Pets (except small fish)
• Toaster ovens or any cooking equipment other than a hot pot or a small microwave oven
